IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women's tennis team dropped two matches over the weekend, falling to Ottawa (Arizona) and Texas A&M–Texarkana in non-conference play.
Against Ottawa on March 13, the Crusaders were unable to gain momentum as Ottawa secured the doubles point with victories on all three courts. Avery Williams and Kathleen Roset competed at No. 1 doubles, while Colette Asan and Cecilia Webb represented Dallas at No. 2. Bridget Sullivan and Evelyn Powell rounded out the doubles lineup at No. 3.
In singles play, Ottawa continued its strong performance by winning all six matches. Williams competed at the No. 1 position for the Crusaders, while Roset played at No. 2. Sullivan represented Dallas at No. 3 singles, followed by Asan at No. 4 and Powell at No. 5. Webb completed the singles lineup at the No. 6 spot.
UDallas returned to the court on March 15 against Texas A&M–Texarkana, where the Eagles earned a 7-0 victory. Texas A&M–Texarkana claimed the doubles point with wins on the first two courts. Williams and Roset paired together at No. 1 doubles, while Sullivan and Powell competed at No. 2.
In singles action, Williams once again represented Dallas at No. 1, followed by Roset at No. 2 and Sullivan at No. 3. Powell competed at No. 4 singles, while Webb played at the No. 5 position. The No. 6 singles match did not produce a result.
The Crusaders will look to regroup as they continue their spring schedule in San Antonio Wednesday against OLLU
