IRVING, Texas – The UDallas men's soccer team battled Schreiner University on Sunday afternoon at Crusader Field, falling 2-1 in a competitive contest.
Schreiner opened the scoring in the 26th minute when Cody Brown found the back of the net off an assist from Kolton Kauffman. The Mountaineers carried the 1-0 advantage into halftime.
Schreiner added to its lead in the 68th minute, with Cody Smith scoring off an assist from Holden Smith to make it a 2-0 match.
UDallas continued to battle and cut the deficit in half late in the contest. Joseph Aziz scored his fifth goal of the season in the 80th minute, with Rico Aguilar providing the assist. The Crusaders continued to push for an equalizer but were unable to find the tying goal before the final whistle.
