Crusaders end roadtrip on High Note

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. — The University of Dallas men's basketball team fell 72-65 to Ozarks (AR) on Friday evening at Mabee Gymnasium.

The Crusaders trailed 37-23 at halftime after a slow offensive start but responded with a strong second half, shooting 61.9 percent from the field over the final 20 minutes. Dallas outscored Ozarks 42-35 in the second half and trimmed the deficit to single digits, but the early gap proved too much to overcome.

UDallas finished the night shooting 45.8 percent from the floor and 81 percent from the free-throw line while scoring 36 points in the paint.

Top Performers – Game One

Thomas Fleming led Dallas with 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting, adding four made free throws.
Kris Burgan recorded 21 points and six rebounds, going 8-of-13 from the field.
Johny Olmsted added 10 points and four assists.


CONWAY, Ark. — Dallas bounced back Saturday with a 65-51 victory over Hendrix at Grove Gymnasium.

The Crusaders set the tone early, building a 37-21 halftime lead behind efficient shooting and active defense. Dallas connected on 50 percent of its three-point attempts in the first half and controlled the glass throughout the contest.

Hendrix made a push in the second half, but UDallas maintained its composure to secure the win. The Crusaders finished with a 44-32 rebounding advantage and added 10 second-chance points.

Top Performers – Game Two

Thomas Fleming paced Dallas with 19 points and six rebounds.
Johny Olmsted added 13 points and five assists.
Kris Burgan contributed 10 points and six rebounds.
