FORT WORTH, Texas – The University of Dallas women's tennis team faced a tough road test against Texas Wesleyan University, falling 6-0 in non-conference action on Feb. 20.
Texas Wesleyan secured the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. The duo of Avery Williams and Bridget Sullivan battled at the top spot but dropped a 6-1 decision, while Kathleen Roset and Cecilia Webb fell 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
In singles play, the Rams continued their momentum, sweeping all five completed matches in straight sets. Williams competed at No. 1 singles but was defeated 6-1, 6-1, while Sullivan fell 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 2 position.
Roset played at No. 3 singles and pushed through multiple rallies before falling 6-2, 6-2. Evelyn Powell and Webb rounded out the singles lineup at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, with Texas Wesleyan closing out the match in straight sets.
