IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women's tennis team fell 7-0 to LeTourneau University in SCAC action on Feb. 28 at Las Colinas Country Club.
LeTourneau claimed the doubles point after sweeping all three courts. Bridget Sullivan and Avery Williams competed at No. 1 doubles but fell 6-1, while Colette Asan and Kathleen Roset dropped a 6-3 decision at No. 2. Evelyn Powell and Cecilia Webb battled at the No. 3 spot before LeTourneau secured a 6-0 win.
In singles play, the YellowJackets continued their momentum by winning all six matches in straight sets. Williams competed at No. 1 singles, while Sullivan played a competitive match at No. 2, pushing the second set to a tiebreak before falling 7-5.
Roset and Asan represented the Crusaders at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions, respectively, while Powell and Webb rounded out the lineup at No. 5 and No. 6 singles. LeTourneau ultimately secured the conference victory with wins across the board.
The Crusaders will look to bounce back as they continue SCAC play in the coming weeks.
