IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women's tennis team fell 7-0 to University of St. Thomas (Texas) in SCAC action on March 7.
St. Thomas secured the doubles point after winning the first two courts. Avery Williams and Kathleen Roset competed at No. 1 doubles but fell 6-1, while Colette Asan and Cecilia Webb dropped a 6-1 decision at No. 2. The No. 3 doubles match featuring Bridget Sullivan and Evelyn Powell went unfinished after the point had already been decided.
In singles play, the Celts maintained their momentum by sweeping all six matches in straight sets. Williams competed at the top singles position, while Roset represented the Crusaders at No. 2 singles.
Sullivan and Asan competed at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions, respectively, while Powell and Webb rounded out the Dallas lineup at No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
The Crusaders will look to regroup as they continue SCAC competition in the coming weeks.
