CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas — The University of Dallas baseball team delivered a strong weekend performance on the road, taking two of three games from the University of the Ozarks in SCAC play at Lonnie Qualls Field.
UDallas (11-25, 9-18 SCAC) showcased timely power hitting and solid pitching across the series, outscoring Ozarks 14-11 to secure the series victory.
In game one, the Crusaders set the tone behind a dominant outing from Liam Mosley. The right-hander struck out 11 over seven innings, allowing just two runs to earn the win. Nate Curtis opened the scoring with a solo home run in the third, and Dallas broke the game open in the fifth inning with a three-run homer from Luke Gill and an RBI double from Caleb Mize. Game two saw Ozarks jump out to an early advantage, plating six runs over the first two innings. Dallas responded with a solo home run from Luke Gill in the third and added a run in the eighth, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome in a 6-2 loss.
