IRVING, Texas – The UDallas men's soccer team battled Jarvis Christian University on Friday evening at Crusader Field, falling 4-2 in a back-and-forth contest.
Jarvis Christian opened the scoring in the 21st minute, but UDallas responded with two goals late in the first half to take a 2-1 lead into halftime. Andi San Roman leveled the match in the 40th minute with an assist from Edi San Roman, before Ryan Dahl gave the Crusaders the lead just over two minutes later.
Jarvis Christian quickly regained momentum after halftime, scoring three times in the opening nine minutes of the second half. Jose Villarreal completed a hat trick with two early second-half goals, while Robert Morales added another in the 54th minute to put the Bulldogs ahead 4-2.
UDallas continued to battle offensively but was unable to close the gap. The Crusaders finished with nine shots, including six on target, while Jarvis Christian recorded 19 shots and 10 shots on goal. UDallas goalkeeper play remained active throughout the contest, with the Crusaders recording six saves.
